Most car travel is inclusive and there will be no extra cost to you, if you are hosting your wedding from Whangarei Heads right up to the top of the Far North.

If there is any. boat/helicopter travel to and from the Islands or other, that is usually organised by clients to fit schedules and suitability. For helicopter flights please note that organised flights must be approved firstly by us for safely reasons. We only fly with reputable companies we trust.

In the lighter months, your full gallery will be quite quick to arrive. In peak season when we are heavily booked, delivery is usually 4 - 8 weeks.

With the convenience of digital, extra photographs are taken during your day so your final gallery is made up on the best looking photos, without the half eating /talking and squinty weird ones. Unless they are particularly funny, then yes they are surely in too!

Often also, couples have travel from all around N.Z or from overseas to marry, and this just is not possible in person. That is absolutely a-ok too.

It is so easy to catch up on Zoom prior and this is perfect too!

My style is very relaxed and I prefer more candid style photography. We will capture you being yourselves, a walk, a laugh and all those times in between. It is my job to be there with you. I want you to totally enjoy just being you, and we will have some fun!

Yes! As the vendor who is with couples most of their day, we get a really good understanding on what times of the day are needed for what. In fact when you are making timeline plans for your day it is a really good idea to have a chat to us really early in the planning stages.

We can chat together and make sure you have the time you need for each stage of your day to run smoothly, well, and relaxed for you.

If I am there at reception time, yes please, I do need to refuel after a big day where most often we have not eaten prior. If you ask your caterer to provide my plate when you are eating yourselves, no good photography time is lost.

I am very happy to refuel anywhere and do not necessarily need a seat with your other guests if that is not suitable on your table plan. A seat easy to view and get in and out from is best.

Yes, you can expect in a usual gallery to receive around an 80 - 85% colour and 15 - 20% black and white mix as a rule. It varies from wedding to wedding as some times of the day and looks do suit black and white more than others.

We have aimed to make it as easy as possible for you. Firstly you need to contact us and check your date available. Once we have confirmed availability, chatted and know we are the right fit for each other, we can send you some wedding info to look through - a bit about how your day may flow photography wise and what to expect etc. If at any stage you would like to confirm your photography with me, you can pop me a bell and we can get you booked in.

All bookings are all completed online now, you can do this quickly and easily from your home or office.

There is an $800 non refundable booking fee to reserve the days photography, and alongside the completed wedding booking agreement, you are all ready to go. Your non refundable booking fee is deducted from your final payment of your wedding package not an extra amount.

All couples are required to have an agreement for us to perform photography services on your day and to allow us to photograph your wedding.

We will have a few first release images for you shortly following your wedding day. This gives you some flattering images to share with family and friends while you wait for your final collection to be worked on. Usually this is within four days of your wedding, but in peak season when we may have multiple weddings in a week, it will be as soon as they are available for you within two weeks.

Your final collection of images are all delivered digitally to your online gallery within 4-8 weeks of your wedding day.

You will receive a log in and a private password for your gallery. This is great for family, friends and those afar you would like to share your images with.

I do share and love to support your other fantastic vendors, and I am happy to provide them photographs from your day.

Vendors desiring images can receive them from me directly to ensure they are used for the commercial purposes allowed. We do not ask for payment from vendors but they must be used correctly with credit given to Kathy Elliston Photography after they receive them from us.

If you are looking at your wedding date or have your date already booked with your venue, it is my recommendation you look at securing your photography as soon as you are ready too to avoid disappointment. In the popular months I can be booked out quite far in advance and many popular dates get booked a year or two, or more, in advance.

Later in the day is usually best for your bridal photographs, when the sun has moved down and is not directly over you. I recommend 100% having some photos with the two of you at this time.

This eliminates many harsher shadows we get at these earlier afternoon times and very hot and bothered peeps.

Photographers often refer to "golden hour", that is the last hour before sunset/nice light time and is just beautiful for your photographs. Quite often in summer this works well at a dessert time so is just a pop out for 15 min that I again 100% recommend. Soooo goooood !
